We are designing a field system around Mentra Live camera glasses, a powered Android bridge, and a private tunnel to a processor on your own computer. The goal is immediate, useful help without turning every observation into a public-cloud event.

What Mentra Live is
Mentra Live is a display-free pair of smart glasses. Its camera can capture 1080p video and high-resolution still images; three microphones collect voice and environmental audio; stereo speakers return sound without putting a screen in front of your eyes.
The glasses connect by Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to a phone. Mentra says its open-source MentraOS and Bluetooth SDK can support Android or iOS applications that connect directly to the glasses, including offline workflows that do not depend on the Mentra cloud.
The field kit we recommend
Mentra lists a 260mAh battery in the glasses, a 2,200mAh charging case, and 12+ hours of mixed use. Continuous capture and streaming are more demanding than mixed use, so a pilot should be designed around external power.

Our recommendation: carry a reputable USB-C power bank sized for the shift, use certified cables, keep connectors dry, and route the cable so it cannot snag on tools or equipment.
An Android 12+ phone becomes the controlled bridge. A dedicated pilot phone is easier to patch, restrict, inventory, and revoke than a personal device.
A customer-owned workstation or server performs the approved local processing and stores only the data the pilot has agreed to retain.
Two power paths may be needed: one for the glasses through Mentra's Infinity Cable and one for the Android phone. Final battery and cable choices will be tested against the job, environment, and manufacturer requirements before field use.
Proposed private architecture
The Android phone is the bridge, not the destination. It carries approved data through a private encrypted tunnel to a processor the pilot owner controls.
Camera, microphones, and speakers support the field interaction.
The paired phone authenticates the device, applies local rules, and forwards only the approved stream or event.
A WireGuard-based tunnel such as a managed Tailscale route can connect the phone without exposing a public inbound port.
A customer-owned workstation or server receives the authorized feed for local models, records, or operator review.
Local-first processing, no public inbound service, no raw recording retention unless the pilot explicitly requires it, and no regulated or high-risk data until the applicable requirements have been reviewed and documented.
How we will reduce security risk
No system can honestly guarantee absolute security. Before a field pilot, Ten Thirty Two will document the data path, configure the agreed controls, test recovery and revocation, and define what the system must never collect or do.
Per-device keys, a strict allowlist, and revocable credentials for the glasses bridge, phone, and processor.
Authenticated encryption through the private tunnel, with no public inbound port opened on the customer computer.
Processing on the customer's machine where practical, full-disk encryption, and raw audio/video retention off by default.
A dedicated Android profile, minimal app permissions, separate pilot network, and administrator access protected by MFA.
A clear recording and consent procedure, an immediate pause or kill switch, and visible operator status during use.
Patch tracking, access logs, data-retention records, tested credential revocation, and a written incident path.
Beta boundary: This proposed design is not a security certification, compliance attestation, or guarantee. The final controls depend on the equipment, network, data sensitivity, location, and laws that apply to the specific pilot.
